Susan Neese McKinney Ramblings

"New Beginning",  14"x14".  Oil on gallery wrapped canvas.  I was challenged to paint a "Metamorphosis" for an upcoming show at the Springfield Regional Arts Council, members show.    This felt like a freeing moment in time.   I'm also reshowing the series I painted to honor Robert and all other Vietnam Veterans who have died or are dying from Agent Orange.   This has been a major metamorphosis for myself and our whole family.  Hugs, Susan    

"Spring Waters", 8"x 10", Oil "Lover's Lane", 8"x 10" Oil "Standing Monarch", 8"x 10", Oil "What are you looking at?", 24"x 30", Oil  These are the paintings I have on display at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center in Springfield, Missouri.    The show runs through the month of February 2014.    The center is a wonderful place for children to learn about conserving nature, and for all local folks to see local fauna, plants and to enjoy the nature trails.
