This was a challenge to paint before darkness fell on this beautiful, quiet evening at Big Cedar Lodge Paint Out, 2011. I finally put a few finishing touches on it. It now brings me a warm, feel good memory of that night.

This was fun for a change. I haven't done a horse in years. As a child I wanted a horse really bad, but we lived in the city and had no place for a horse, so I would draw my horses. All kinds. Happy to say I did eventually have some horses after we moved to Missouri. This is a Christmas surprise for my 15 year old granddaughter, Ashley. She's been asking me for a horse picture for ages, so I finally got to it. Better late than never..... I'm looking forward to a house full of family on Christmas day. I hope all of my friends and family also have a wonderful, and warm Christmas.
I'm happy to now be represented by Xanadu Gallery of Scottsdale, Arizona. Hoping for good things with this new partnership. Check out their gallery when you get a chance.
