This is a throw back to my Southwest up-bringing, and the SW colors.    Sandy from MacCreeds Gallery loaned me this nice vase for my still life.    She has some beautiful things in her Gallery.    The carving is of Kokopelli,  God of rain, I purchased it from a young native boy on the rim of Canyon de Chilly in Arizona.    The turquoise necklace was from a native girl there.    The scorpion was my late brother-in-laws.    The chunk of rock is a piece of the Canyon, given to me by a dear friend.      Lots of  memories in this little still life.    16"x 20", Oil on Canvas.   Framed in a nice, rustic, SW style frame.   $500.  Free shipping.

I had a great time meeting with the Springfield Plein Air art group last Thursday. Some of us had time to do a small painting before we had potluck. Congrats to the prize winners. With our early Spring, the Springfield Lake park was looking beautiful. The greens were so bright they were almost iridescent. Here's my version of the morning. 8"x10", "Spring in the Ozarks".   Oil on panel.   Framed in 3",mahogany colored, plein air frame.   $300   Free shipping.

Cheryl Coen and I made a day trip down South to an old mill site, Jolly Mill, that is now a nice little park with trout fishing. It was a beautiful, bright day, almost hot, but great in the shade where I sat and painted this study. Then since we were fairly close to Roaring River, we drove there and checked out all the sites. A pretty area with lots of folks having fun fishing and just enjoying being outside.

Here's my Mom enjoying an evening at Stockton Lake. Not too many fish biting, but wonderful weather.
