I'm honored to have my painting "Reflective", 24"x 30", Oil on canvas, $600, on the Members Show post card, which starts Friday, June 1st thru 29th.    The show  is at The Creamery Arts Center on Sherman, in Springfield, Missouri.   Thanks to the Springfield Regional Arts Council and the sponsor Guaranty Bank.

The weather was fantastic this afternoon for painting at an old mill site and bridge located about 11 miles North of Stockton, Missouri.     Caplinger Mills.     The original building burnt down, but the bridge was saved for prosperity by some caring neighbors and friends.   It is now on the Historic Registry.     The river below, Sac River, is a favorite place for swimming, wading, and fishing.     Of course there is canoeing and camping also.    "Historic Crossing", 8"x10",  Plein air, Oil on canvas.    $285

It's really nice that a local business, Maschino's in Springfield is displaying the paintings from our group, Springfield Plein Air painters.    This is one of the paintings I entered.    "Early Morning Light", 16"x20", $500.    Next month we will be doing some paintings in conjunction with the Springfield Zoo, as a fundraiser for the zoo.     Some of the animals are getting into the act, so that should be fun.     I hope I'm not outdone by the elephant!

Good news!!  "Excitation",(below), was accepted for the "Big Show" at the Springfield-Branson National Airport.     Also accepted was my painting, "Early at ArtsFest", 26"x38", $600.     It will be great to have them on display May 22nd thru August 13th.    Hopefully someone will fall in love with them and want to take them home.     In the meantime, some of the family will get to see them there, as they fly in for our family reunion in June.     That will be fun.   Can't wait.

"Excitation",   Oil on panel,  26" x 66", $1200.     This was exciting to watch as this girl caught a trout.    I just finished this painting and hope to have it accepted in the "Big Show" this month, at the Skyport Gallery, in the Springfield-Branson National Airport, Springfield, MO.       Large paintings are a challenge, but I enjoyed doing this one.     I have other requests for large format paintings, so guess I'll have to get out the "big" brushes .
