These are a few of my painting friends that were enjoying the perfect day painting at the Sequiota Park in Springfield, MO last Thursday.   We try to get together at least once a week, somewhere in the area, for plein air painting, which means painting on location or from life.    It's not as easy as you think, but most of the time it's just great to be outside enjoying nature.   Below is the painting I did at the park, and finished up in the studio yesterday.     I was crazy about the purple and the great shapes of the canopies.
